LAREDO, Texas – The Aggies were in need of a strong showing and that is exactly what they turned in on the final day of the Border Olympics University Golf Tournament at The Laredo Country Club on Tuesday morning. Following a day in which the top four Aggies combined to post the best final round team score of the tournament, NM State landed a 10
th place finish as a team – shooting a 277 (-11) on Tuesday to finish with an 862 (-2) for the week.
The stellar day jetted the Aggies three spots up the team leaderboard while a trio of Aggies finished under par for the day to each finish tied for 31
st or better. Leading the way was sophomore
Javier Delgadillo who posted the second-best individual round of the day (66, -6) to end the tournament tied for fifth overall thanks to a final score of 208 (-8). This also marks the second top-five finish for Delgadillo this year after taking home the individual title at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate in Ocotber.
Alvaro Morales also finished his day in the 60's as he shot a 69 on Tuesday to claim a T-24 finish with a 214 (-2) three-round score. Meanwhile, Alexander Bauduin joined Delgadillo and Morales in the under-par club as he turned in a final round 70 to leap up to a T-31 placement after shooting a combined 216 (E) for the week.

NM State will look to carry this momentum into the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate next week as they begin play on Monday, Feb. 26, at Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nev. The three-day event will conclude on Wednesday
