WEST POINT, Miss. – NM State returns to the course for what will be its final opportunity to compete prior to the Conference USA Championships. Monday morning, the Aggies will begin play in the Mossy Oak Collegiate at Mossy Oak Golf Course.
The two-day event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. MT and the Aggies will compete alongside 13 institutions as host Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Kansas State, Cincinatti, Augusta, Southern Miss, Little Rock, Troy, Louisiana and CUSA foes Liberty, Middle Tennessee and LA Tech will all join NM State on the course.
The Aggies will be represented by
River Smalley,
Anthony Lara,
Vari Mariscal,
Javier Delgadillo and
Alvaro Morales. Last week, the Aggies competed in The Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M in Bryan, Texas. There, NM State finished 12
th (+67) and was led by Morales who finished tied for 48
th (+17)
This week's tournament will utilize a shotgun start with the Aggies spread across holes 14, 15 and 16 to start the day. Smalley and Lara will begin on hole 14, Mariscal will open on 15 and Delgadillo and Morales will start on hole 16.
THE COURSE
High Meadow Ranch is currently the No. 2 rated public golf course in Houston according to The Houston Chronicle and Houston Sports News. The course was designed by David Ogrin and Tim Nugent.
