TEXARKANA, Ark. – Play continued at the Conference USA Championships on Tuesday as NM State and their fellow league members took part in the second round of action. After 36 holes, NM State is in seventh place on the team leaderboard and will enter the final day of stroke play nine shots back of qualifying for match play.
 
On Tuesday, the Aggies submitted a combined score of 302 (+14) on the day to sit 20 strokes over par after two rounds. As it did after 18 holes, LA Tech remains in the lead after shooting six over par to turn in a 294 today. This puts them at two-under for the week and leaves them with an eight-shot cushion enter Wednesday.
 
Individually, the Aggies were led by Alvaro Morales who carded the squad's low round of the day – shooting a 74 (+2) to bring his 36-hole total to 149 (+5). Meanwhile, Anthony Lara continues to serve as the Aggies' low individual after shooting a 75 (+3) on Tuesday. This places Lara in a six-way tie for 11^th place and will enter the final round just one stroke outside of the top ten.
 
Javier Delgadillo fell back just one place on the standings as he remained consistent on Tuesday by shooting a second-round 76 (+4) after posting a 74 (+2) in the first round. This leaves the CUSA All-Academic honoree in a tie for 24^th. The Aggies' fourth counting score came from freshman Vari Mariscal who made his CUSA Championship debut after getting the call to move into the Aggie lineup following the first round of play. On Tuesday, Mariscal posted a 77 (+5). Lastly, Alexandre Bauduin logged an 80 (+8) during the second round of action and will enter Wednesday's final round in 33^rd place.
