Weber State Edges NM State 4-3 in Nail-Biting Finish

Aggies fight hard but come up short in Las Vegas.

NM State 3, Weber State 4
On their final day of play at the UNLV Quad, NM State put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell to Weber State, 4-3, in a closely contested match that saw multiple match-point opportunities for the Aggies.

The Aggies secured three impressive wins in singles play. Matias Rojas dominated Theo Mottier in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3. Shortly following, Tobias Wallin cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Connor Kruger, while Lance Urlaub rounded out the trio of wins with a commanding 6-2, 6-3 triumph over Franco Quijano.

NM State came agonizingly close to adding two more singles wins but fell short in tight battles. Itay Feigin fought hard before losing 6-0, 6-3, 6-4, while Gustavo Campos dropped a tough 6-2, 7-6, 6-4 match.

In doubles action, the Aggies struggled to gain momentum. Feigin and Rojas fell 6-3 to Tristan Sarap and William Zulch, while the pairing of Snell and Urlaub suffered the same 6-3 fate against Quijano and Mottier. These losses ultimately tipped the scales in Weber State's favor, leaving NM State with a 2-6 record for the spring season so far.
