Aggies Fall in Doubleheader Versus Tulsa

NM State will finish their Oklahoma trip with a battle against Oral Roberts tomorrow morning.

TULSA, Okla. – NM State wrapped up a doubleheader today against Tulsa, falling 4-0 in both matches at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Aggies showed resilience throughout the day, highlighted by a doubles win in the evening contest and more competitive singles play in the second match.

MATCH ONE | NM State 0, Tulsa 4
The Aggies opened the day against Tulsa but were unable to gain early momentum, dropping the doubles point after losses on courts one and two.

In singles play, Tulsa secured three straight-set victories to clinch the match before the remaining courts could finish. Matches featuring Roko Stipetic, Lance Urlaub and Patrick Lohmann were left unfinished as the Golden Hurricane reached the four-point threshold.

MATCH TWO | NM State 0, Tulsa 4
NM State responded with an improved showing in the evening match, highlighted by a victory in doubles play. The duo of Laurendi Fischer and Patrick Lohmann secured a win on court two, marking the Aggies' lone doubles triumph of the day.

Despite the momentum, Tulsa ultimately claimed the doubles point and carried that into singles play. The Golden Hurricane picked up wins on courts one, three and five to secure the match. However, NM State pushed several courts deeper into competition, with multiple matches going unfinished as the Aggies displayed a more competitive edge across the lineup.
