LAS CRUCES, N.M. - NM State closed out its opening weekend of Conference USA play with a strong, all‑around performance on Sunday, defeating LA Tech to complete a three‑game sweep. The Aggies struck early with a three‑run first inning, added insurance in the middle frames, and relied on dominant work in the circle to stay in control throughout. With the win, NM State improved to 3–0 in league play to open its conference slate.

The Aggies established momentum immediately as Devin Elam led off with a single, Faith Aragon followed with a two‑run home run, and Johnna Aragon added an RBI single to make it 3–0 after one. Kendal Lunar doubled home Faith Aragon in the second, and NM State extended the lead further in the fifth with RBI hits from Skye Johnson, Tamara Carranza, and Johnna Aragon. In the circle, Faith Aragon controlled the game from start to finish, striking out nine and yielding only six hits and one run.
