MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – NM State saw its season come to a close on Friday afternoon, falling 4-0 to Jacksonville State in the opening round of the Conference USA Tournament at the Adams Tennis Complex.

The Aggies battled in doubles play but were unable to secure the opening point. Jacksonville State claimed victories on courts one and two to take a 1-0 lead, despite a strong showing from Laurendi Fischer and Matias Rojas, who earned a 6-2 win on court three.

In singles action, the Gamecocks maintained control, picking up three straight-set victories to clinch the match. Roko Stipetic fell in a competitive match on court one, while Matias Rojas dropped his contest on court four. Lance Urlaub also came up short on court five as Jacksonville State secured the deciding fourth point.

Several matches remained tightly contested but unfinished at the time of the decision. Holland Snell responded after dropping his opening set on court two and was tied in the third, while Tobias Wallin pushed his opponent to a second-set tiebreak on court three. Laurendi Fischer also held the advantage in his match on court six before play was halted.

With the result, NM State concludes its 2025-26 campaign following its appearance in the Conference USA Tournament.
