MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – NM State opened its weekend series at Middle Tennessee with a strong showing Friday evening at Blue Raider Softball Field. The Aggies struck early and leaned on a dominant performance in the circle to control the opener from start to finish. Behind timely offense and steady pitching, NM State secured a 4–0 shutout victory.

NM State jumped out in the first inning, plating three runs highlighted by RBIs from Lauren Garcia, Devin Elam, and Johnna Aragon. The Aggies added an insurance run in the fifth when Kendal Lunar singled home Faith Aragon. In the circle, Faith Aragon was in command throughout, limiting the Blue Raiders to just two hits while closing out the complete‑game shutout.
