LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State closed out its final home series of the season on Sunday morning, honoring its senior class at the close of the game at the NM State Softball Complex. The Aggies responded with an offensive surge early and added late insurance to cap Senior Day in memorable fashion. NM State defeated Delaware 12-10 to claim the weekend series.
Game – NM State 12, Delaware 10
After Delaware opened the game with five runs, NM State answered emphatically with an eight‑run first inning, highlighted by RBI hits throughout the lineup. The Aggies continued to chip away offensively, regaining control in the sixth with a three‑run frame fueled by RBI singles from Destan Burks and Lauren Garcia. Faith Aragon entered in the first inning and worked seven innings of relief, helping NM State hold on to secure the Senior Day win.

NM State wraps up the regular season on the road, traveling to Springfield, Missouri, to face Missouri State. The series opens on Thursday, April 30 at 5 p.m. to close out the 2026 campaign.
