LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State Athletics, Van Wagner and Rudy's "Country Store" and BBQ have announced the return of the NM State Coaches Show for the 2026-27 academic year. The 27-episode season is set to kick off on Monday, August 17, at 6:00 p.m. at Rudy's BBQ, located at 1020 North Telshor Blvd. in Las Cruces.
 
NM State Director of Broadcasting and Play-by-Play Broadcaster MJ Newsom will be joined all year by a variety of Aggie coaches and student-athletes, including weekly, in-season appearances from Head Football Coach Tony Sanchez and Head Men's Basketball Coach Jason Hooten. Fans are encouraged to show their support by attending the show in person each Monday.
 
Monday night, Newsom will be joined by Coach Sanchez, quarterback Trey Hedden and Director of Athletics Joe Fields as the show kicks off the year.
 
For those who are unable to make it to Rudy's BBQ on Monday nights, a variety of streams will be available. Fans can easily listen to the show live on 99.5 FM Zia Country or stream it online at ZiaCountry.com.
