Biography
2018-19 (JUNIOR): Competed in Freestyle events…won the 1000 Free versus CSU Pueblo with a time of 10:57.07 (10/20)…recorded a personal-best 24.30 in the 50 Free at Northern Arizona…posted a first-place finish against Grand Canyon in the 500 Free with a time of 5:05.32 (2/9)…posted personal bests in the 100 Free (51.59), 200 Free (1:50.58), 500 Free (4:58.82), 1000 Free (10:20.11) and 1650 Free (17:08.75) at WAC Championships (3/19)…her 1:50.58 in the 200 Free at WAC Championships ranks ninth all-time…recorded a 10:20.11 in the 1000 Free at WAC Championships which is good for sixth all-time…ranks eighth in program history in the 1650 Free with a 17:08.75 at WAC Championships, where she placed ninth (3/2).
2017-18 (SOPHOMORE): Began the season with a fourth-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle after recording 10:56.95 against Northern Colorado… Finished fifth in the 1650 free with a time of 17:57.31 during the Northern Arizona meet… In the meet versus CSU-Pueblo, Laporte placed second in the 50 free with a time of 23.53… Was one of four girls on the relay team to break the NM State record in the 800-yard free relay during Western Athletic Conference Championships with a time of 7:20.21 to give the team a first-place finish… Academic All-WAC recipient.
2016-17 (FRESHMAN): Posted a time of 17:18.05 in the 1,650-yard freestyle while finishing in 11th place at the Western Athletic Conference Championship... Swam 1:52.43 in the 200-yard freestyle while finishing 13th, and 5:01.95 in the 500 yard freestyle at the WAC Championship, finishing in 15th place.
HIGH SCHOOL: From Scottsdale, Ariz., competed in USA swimming for the Scottsdale Aquatic club and swimming under Head Coach Kevin Zacher… Specializes in the distance freestyle events and fly events... Personal best times of 17:25.38 (mile), 10:26.04 (1000), 5:05.25 (500) and 1:53.24 (200 free).
