Biography
2012 Cross Country: Ortega ran in three events for the Aggies in the 2012 cross country season. His best overall performance came at the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 7) when he finished 30th overall. Ortega also ran in the Kachina Classic (Sept. 15) and the Grand Canyon Invitational (Oct. 6).
High School: Ortega attended St. Michael's High School in Santa Fe, N.M., where he ran cross country. Ortega assisted his team finish first in district in 2009 and first in district in 2011. Ortega was also named to the second team All-District in 2011.
Personal: Ortega was born in Santa Fe, N.M., and is the son of Chris and Christine Ortega. He plans to major in aerospace engineering.
