Biography
Everett Community College: Rubio ran cross country for two seasons at Everett Community College. While there, he helped the Trojans win the 2011 NWAACC Cross Country Championships. Rubio helped his team win back-to-back Northern Region Championships as well in 2011-12.
High School: Rubio competed in soccer and cross country at Port Townsend High School in Port Townsend, Wash. He was named second team all-Olympic in soccer in his senior year. In cross country, he was teamed first team all-State as well as league MVP in 2010. In his senior season, Rubio finished second in the 2010 1A State Championhips.
Personal: Rubio is the son of Tony and Ruth Rubio and was born in Ethiopia. He is majoring in kinesiology.
