Biography

Prior to NM State: Perez competed two seasons at San Bernardino Valley College before attending NM State. In his two seasons there, Perez helped his team earn back-to-back Foothill League Championships.

High School: Perez ran cross country for Arlington High School in Riverside, Calif. In his senior season, Perez helped lead his team to a second-place finish in league competition.

Personal: Perez is the son of Jose Perez and Magdalena Valle and was born in Tustin, Calif. He is majoring in kinesiology.
