2010 (Junior): Hart competed in three meets for NM State last season. Hart finished 17th at the Lori Fitzgerald Invite (Sep. 23), crossing the finish line in 23:49.7, which was also his best finish and time of the year. Hart also ran well at the Kachina Classic (Sep.18) after crossing the finish line in 28:14.3 and finishing in 34th.
2009 (Red shirt Freshman): Hart helped the Aggies to a third place finish at the Kachina Classic (9/19), in Las Cruces, N.M., when he earned a time of 29:46.3 on NM State's home course. At the Dual in the Desert (10/19), against New Mexico, Hart was the second Aggie to cross the finish line for eighth, overall. Hart clocked 28:50.3 at the Lobo Invitational (9/5), for his best 5k time of the season.
2008: Hart redshirted in 2008.
2007 (Freshman): Hart competed in five of the six races for NM State during the 2008 season. At the WAC Championships in Logan, Utah (Oct. 27), Hart recorded his fastest time of the season at 26:17, and finished in 48th place. Hart posted his strongest finish of the season at the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 14), in El Paso, Texas, crossing the line 22nd with a time of 27:04.
High School: Hart was a four-year varsity letter winner at St. Michael's High School and led the track and field team to a district championship and a third-place finish at the state meet. At the state track and field meet during his senior season, Hart tabbed runner of the year honors throughout the state of New Mexico and finished second in the 800-meter run. He was also part of the state championship basketball squad.
Personal: Hart is the son of James and Brenda Hart and plans to major in business. His twin brother, Michael, is also a member of the cross-country team.
