Biography
2012 Cross Country: Saiz put on his best overall performance of the season when he finished 31st overall at the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 7). Saiz also competed in the Kachina Classic (Sept. 15) and the Grand Canyon Invitational (Oct. 6).
High School: Saiz attended Christ the King Cathedral School in Lubbock, Texas, where he ran cross country from 2008-11 and track from 2007-11. In 2010, Saiz finished as second runner-up in the TAPPS State Track and Field Championships, as well as being named to the first team All-State for cross country in 2010. Saiz also played football and basketball in high school.
Personal: Saiz was born in Lubbock, Texas, and is the son of Ronald and Emily Saiz. He plans to major in wildlife science.Â
