Biography

2013 Indoor (Junior): Nagunst spent the 2013 indoor season running the 600m, 800m and the 4x400m relay.  Nagunst’s best 800m time came at the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 21) where she posted a time of 2:17.57 to finish 10th overall and place sixth all-time for NM State.  Nagunst ran her best 600m time of 1:39.75 at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic (Feb. 1).  Nagunst also ran in the 4,000m distance medley for the Aggies at the WAC Indoor Championships, posting a time of 12:30.79 to finish sixth in the conference for second team All-WAC honors and landing a spot as sixth all-time for NM State.

2013 Cross Country (Junior): Nagunst did not compete in the 2013 cross country season.

2012 Outdoor (Sophomore): Nagunst was selected to receiving All-Academic honors from the WAC in 2012.  Nagunst spent the 2012 outdoor season running the 400m and 800m, as well as a series of relay events.  Nagunst posted her career-best records in both events during the 2012 outdoor season.  Nagunst posted her best 400m time at the 2012 Texas State Bobcat Classic (April 27) and her best time in the 800m at the Michael Johnson/Dr. Pepper Classic (April 21).  Nagunst also ran the 4x400m relay three times during the season, helping her team post a season-best time at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational (April 6).

2012 Indoor (Sophomore): Nagunst was named to the second team all-WAC for the distance medley.  Nagunst was named to the academic all-WAC team in 2012.  Nagunst ran in middle distance and relay events for the Aggies in the 2012 indoor season.  Nagunst posted her best 800m time of 2:23.04 at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic (Feb. 3).  Nagunst also ran the 4x400m relay, contributing to her team’s best time at the Texas Tech Open (Jan. 13).  Nagunst also ran in the 600m, 600yd, and the 4,000m distance medley. 

Cross Country 2011 (Sophomore): Nagunst ran in three events for NM State in the 2011 season.  Nagunst posted her best time of 22:04.0 in the 6K at the Lobo Invitational (Sept. 3).  Nagunst also ran in the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 10) and the Kachina Classic (Sept. 17).

Outdoor 2011 (Freshman): Nagunst ran the 4x400m relay and the 800m for all of the outdoor season.  Nagunst posted her best time for the 4x400m at the UTEP Springtime with a time of 3:56.9.  Nagunst's best time for the 800m came at the WAC Championships with a time of 2:20.5.

Indoor 2011 (Freshman): Nagunst had a full slate of competition for her freshman season, running a variety of events for the Aggies.  Nagunst ran her best time for the 400m at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational with 1:03.7.  Nagunst posted two season-bests at the UNM Don Kirby Invitational, posting a time of 4:11.1 for the 4x400m relay and a time of 2:25.8 in the 800m. 

Cross Country 2010 (Freshman): Nagunst began her career as an Aggie by running the Lobo Invitational.  Nagunst finished 47th overall and 16th for NM State with a time of 21:15.6.

High School: Nagunst was a four-time state champion in track and field winning the 400m and 800m in 2009 and 2010. Nagunst also won state in basketball in 2008, helping her team to and undefeated season of 28-0. Nagunst garnered an astounding 16 letters in high school, competing in cross country, track and field, soccer, and basketball for Rainier High School in Rainier, Ore. Nagunst was also four-time all-league in track and two time all-state in track in the 400m and 800m. Nagunst was also a member of the honor roll with a 3.95 GPA.

Personal: Nagunst is the daughter of David and Suzanne Nagunst. She was born in Rainier, Ore., and plans to major in biology.
