2013 Indoor (Junior): Gomez competed in the 1-mile at the Don Kirby Open (Feb. 9) for the Aggies in the 2013 indoor track and field season.
2012 Cross Country (Junior): Gomez ran in four meets for the Aggies in the 2012 cross country season. Gomez posted her best time at the Grand Canyon Invitational (Oct. 6) where she finished with a time of 20:22.6 in the 5K. Gomez posted her best overall finish at the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 7) where she finished 22nd overall with a time of 21:46.49. Gomez also competed in the Lobo Invitational (Aug. 31) and the Kachina Classic (Sept. 15).
2012 Outdoor (Sophomore): Gomez was named as a WAC All-Academic Athlete in the 2012 season. Gomez competed in the 1,500m and the 5,000m for the Aggies in the 2012 outdoor season. Gomez ran her best 1,500m time at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational (April 6) and her best 5,000m time at the 2012 Willie Williams Classic (March 16). Gomez also competed at the UTEP Springtime Invitational (March 24) and the UTEP Invitational (April 14).
2012 Indoor (Sophomore): Gomez competed in the 3,000m at there different meets and the 5,000m at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic (Feb. 3) Gomez posted her best finish in the 3,000m at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational (Jan. 27).
2011 Cross Country (Sophomore): Gomez posted her best time at the Kachina Classic (Sept. 17) with a time of 20:54.0 in the 6K. Gomez also ran in the Lobo Invitational (Sept. 3), Lori Fitzgerald Invitational (Sept. 10) and the Grand Canyon Invitational (Oct. 8).
2011 Outdoor (Freshman): Gomez ran various events during the outdoor season, ranging from the 1,500m to the 3,000m to the 5,000m. Gomez posted her best time for the 1,500m at the UTEP invitational with a time of 5:30.14. Gomez's best time for the 5,000m happened at the Mesa Classic 2011 with a time of 19:32.84. Gomez also ran the 3,000m at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational with a time of 12:20.8.
2011 Indoor (Freshman): Gomez ran a variety of long-distance events for the Aggies during regular season meets. Gomez posted her season-best time of 12:04.38 for the 3,000m at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic & Combined. Gomez also ran the 5,000m at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic & Combined with a time of 20:39.68.
2010 Cross Country (Freshman): Gomez spent her freshman season running events during the early portion of the NM State cross country schedule. In her first collegiate event at the Lobo Invitational, Gomez placed 52nd overall and 16th among Aggies in the 5K with a time of 21:46.1. Gomez also ran the Kachina Classic, posting a time of 21:13.5 for 35th overall and 15th among NM State. Gomez posted her best time in the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational with a time of 19:15.9 for 12th overall and sixth among Aggies.
High School: Gomez ran track and field and cross country all four years in high school for Manzano High School in Albuquerque, N.M. Gomez was all-district in track and field from 2007-10 and all-district in cross country in 2008 and 2009. She was also a member of All-Harrier Cross Country in 2009.
Personal: Gomez is the daughter of Sandra Gomez. She was born in Albuquerque, N.M., and plans to major in chemistry.
