Biography
Junior: Santos was a competitor in five events last year. He finished 30th in the Kachina Classic with a time of 24:55. Santos also competed in the Sun Belt Championship where he finished 32nd with a time of 28:09.
Sophomore: Santos took third place at the Lori Fitzgerald Invitational with a time of 22:52. He placed 20th at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in a time of 28:16. He competed in all seven events for the Aggies. He also competed at the NCAA Mountain Region cross country meet finishing 95th in a time of 35:59.
Freshman: Santos competed in all seven events in 2002. He finished a season-best 25th at the Lori Fitzgerald Open, 49th at the UC-Irvine Invitational and 48th at the Lobo Invitational. He finished 31st at the Kachina Classic, 43rd at the Arizona State Invitational, 135th at the Arkansas Chili Pepper Invitational and 27th at the Sun Belt Championships.
High School: He placed 18th at the state track meet in cross country, was a district runner up in 3,200 and 1,600 meters in track in 2001. He graduated 10th in his class with a 3.8 GPA.
Personal: Santos is major in Art and is the son of Luvin and Loretta Contreras. He was born in Nurmberg, Germany.
