Biography
2004-05: Claire represented the Aggies at both the IHSA National competition in Ohio and at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in Santa Fe, N.M. She finished sixth in Hunt Seat Equitation on the Flat at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships. At the IHSA National Show, she competed in the Intermediate Hunt Seat Equitation over Fences. Manatt also qualified for the Regional and Zone competitions where she won the Championship titles at both events in Intermediate Equitation Over Fences.
Club: Manatt was an English riding member of the NMSU Equestrian club in fall 2002 and returned to the club in fall 2003. She volunteered for a program that provided therapeutic horseback riding for handicapped children.
Personal: Claire Manatt was born in Roswell, N.M., and is the daughter of Jim and Marilyn Manatt. She is majoring in Journalism and Mass Communications.
Riding History: Manatt has been riding in Roswell with trainer Susan Bierwerth and Sharon Stewart Wells in Ruidoso, N.M. She has been involved with horses most of her life. She has attended clinics by Linda Allen.
