Biography
2006-07: Krystal is one of the team’s most seasoned riders and finished the year with a 3-6 fence record and 6-3 flat record. She also competed at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships on the flat and over fences for the Hunter Seat Team.
2005-2006: Krystal was part of the 3rd place finishing team at the Big 8 Hunt Seat Tournament at University of Georgia, Athens, riding both hunt seat equitation on the flat and over fences. She rode the same disciplines at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in Albuquerque, NM where the team finished 4th in the Hunt Seat discipline and 6th overall out of 12 competing schools.
I.H.S.A.: Krystal was once again the Zone 7 Region 1 Cacchione Cup Regional High Point Rider and placed in the top 15 of the flat phase at HISA Nationals in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was the Regional Champion in Open Hunt Seat Equitation over Fences and Reserve Regional Champion on the Flat. At Zones she was the Team Champion in the Open Flat class in Stillwater, Oklahoma to finish as the Zone Team Reserve Champion.
2004-05: Mack finished the regular season as the Zone 7 Region 1 high point rider, earning the USEF Cacchione Cup Rider Award, which was the highest honor of any NMSU Hunt Seat rider. This accomplishment earned her an automatic qualification to compete at the IHSA Nationals. Mack finished first out of 14 riders in the Open Equitation Over Fences at the Colorado State Competition. She also took first in of Open Fences at the University of Colorado competition. Mack finished first in Open Over Fences at the Hunt Seat Show hosted by Colorado State. At the Hunt Seat Show hosted by the University of Denver, Mack earned high-point rider. She did that by placing first in both days of competition in Open Fences and Open Flat. Mack was Regional Reserve Champion in the Open Fences Division. As well as competing in the IHSA National competition in Ohio, Mack was also chosen to represent the Aggies at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in Santa Fe, N.M. She earned a second place finish at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in the Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences. This was the highest placing Hunt Seat rider in the history of New Mexico State Equestrian.
Personal: Krystal was born in Sacramento, Calif., and is the daughter of Doreen and George Mack. She is majoring in Business Administration.
Riding History: Mack was the New Mexico Hunter Jumper Association 15-17 Children’s Hunter Champion in 2003. She also qualified for the National Hunt Seat Equitation Medal Finals in Harrisburg, Penn. She placed sixth in USEF Zone 8 for Large Junior Hunters in 2002 and 2003. She was the High-Point 15-17 Equitation Champion for the New Mexico Hunter Jumper Association in 2002 and 2003. Mack was the 2003 NAL Marshall and Sterling Champion in Albuquerque. She qualified for the Washington International Horse Association finals in 2003. She attended clinics by Linda Allen, Michael Page and George Snyder.
