Biography

 

2008-09:  Krause competed for the Aggies in both the Horsemanship and Reining competitions with records of 5-6-1 and 4-4, respectively.  She earned an MVP honor at the Willis Invitational hosted by Baylor. Krause's high score of the season in Horsemanship was a 75, tying her match with Dana Kennedy (UGA). She competed at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in both Reining and Horsemanship. She was named Outstanding Junior at the team banquet.

2007-08: Krause had a very competitive year earning a record of 2-3-1 in Reining and 6-3 in Horsemanship. She also earned an MVP in Reining against Baylor. Krause's biggest accomplishment was her win against Texas A&M Randi Standley with a score of 73.5. She was chosen to ride for the Aggies at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in horsemanship. 

2006-07: She had an outstanding record of 6-3 in the Horsemanship and 3-5 in the Reining. She also earned a total of four MVP honors, two in Horsemanship and two in Reining. At the Varsity Equestrian National Championships, she earned the high score of the competition in Horsemanship against Oklahoma State with a score of 145.

High School: Krause graduated from Eaton High School.  She participated in the AQHYA World Championship Show Horse Judging Contest where her team earned Reserve honors in the performance division and third overall.  She also competed at the 2005 Colorado 4-H State Horse Judging Convention where individually she placed third in the performance division and seventh overall, helping her team to third place team overall.  At the 2006 International Buckskin Horse Association World Championship Show, Krause took top ten honors in the Western Horsemanship and Trail, was fifth in the Showmanship, and fourth in the Hunt Seat Equitation.  In 2004, she qualified for the AQHYA World Championship Show in Hunter under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation.  In 2003, Krause was the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association Reserve Champion Novice Youth in Hunt Seat Equitation.  At the Colorado State Fair, Krause has been the All-Around Youth seven times and the Reserve Champion twice.  Krause also holds many championships for the Weld County Fair.  Krause has ridden with esteemed all-around performance trainer Leslie Lange and reining trainer Darren Miller.

Personal: Krause was born in Cheyenne, Wyo., and has been living in Colorado with her stepmother and trainer in Eaton. She is studying agribusiness management with hopes of one day becoming a district manager for a pharmaceutical company. Outside of riding, she enjoys playing music and dancing. She is the daughter of Doug and Laurie Krause and Jean Krause. She was on the Honor Roll all throughout high school and was also a member of FFA, FBLA and 4-H. She was a 3-time letter winner in cheerleading. She is the daughter of Doug and Laurie Krause and Jean Krause.
