2010 (Freshman): Vaaulu played in all 12 games for the Aggies on the defensive line, starting 7 of the last eight games of the year. He recorded 24 tackles on the season, including eight solo efforts, a sack, a fumble recovery and a pass break-up. In his first three games of the season, Vaaulu tallied just two total tackles. Vaaulu then grabbed a season-high six tackles against No. 3 Boise State (Oct. 1). Against in-state rival New Mexico (Oct. 9), Vaaulu recorded three tackles and his first career fumble recovery in the Aggies' 16-14 win. His first sack of his career came against Idaho (Oct. 23), a game in which he had two tackles. Vaaulu tallied at least three tackles in five games during the season. He was nominated as the WAC Freshman of the Year at the end of the season.

High School: Vaaulu played both defensive line and tight end for the Warren High School Bears. As a senior, Vaaulu tallied 51 tackles, eight tackles, an interception, a pass break up, a fumble recovery and three forced fumbles on the defensive line. As a tight end, he grabbed 10 receptions for 85 yards. Vaaulu was named a first team all-conference selection as both a defensive tackle and a tight end in 2009. He helped his team to a 10-2 overall record his senior season. During his junior season, Vaaulu recorded 60 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, while tallying 12 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown catch. Vaaulu helped the Bears to an 8-4 overall record that season. He was named the league's defensive player of the year in 2008 as well as a first team all-conference selection on offense.
Personal: Vaauu is the son of Augafa and Queen Vaaulu. He is undecided in the major.
