Biography

2004: Sylvestre was moved from linebacker to rush end this spring.

2003 (Junior): Sylvestre earned his first letter by playing in 10 games on special teams.

2002 (Sophomore): Beau played in just two games for the Aggies, playing against North Texas and Idaho at the end of the season.

2001 (Redshirt Freshman): Beau was a backup fullback, but did not see playing time.

2000 (Freshman): Sylvestre redshirted his first year at NMSU.

High School: Beau was a two-year letterman at Silverado High School in Victorville, Calif. He played linebacker and fullback under head coach Mark Lenz. Sylvestre scored 15 touchdowns from the fullback position as a senior in 1999 and rushed for 577 yards on 70 carries. On defense he had 140 total tackles, 63 solo, 20 tackles-for-loss, six sacks and four forced fumbles as a senior. He was a first-team All-San Bernardino County linebacker by the Riverside Press and a first team Inland Empire pick by the Los Angeles Times. He was selected the All-Area Defensive Player of the Year in 1999 by the Victorville Daily Press.

Personal: Beau is the son of Pat and Kathleen Sylvestre and is majoring in Criminal Justice.
