2005: Brad will be the Aggies’ starting punter and kicker going into fall camp.
2004 (Junior): Evans served as the Aggies’ back-up punter in 2004, playing in two games. Evans had two punts against UTEP (10/2), for 61 yards, an average of 30.5 and two punts against Florida Atlantic (11/13) for 86 yards, an average of 43.0 yards. Evans’ punting average for the season was 36.8 yards per punt.
2003 (Sophomore): Evans was the Aggies’ starting punter in the first three games of the season. He averaged 33.6 yards per kick in games against Texas, Western New Mexico and Oregon State. He had a career-best 44-yard punt against Texas (8/31) and also had one punt downed inside the 20. His only punt against Western New Mexico (9/6) was a 40-yard effort.
2002 (Redshirt Freshman): Evans was on the team, but did not see action.
2001 (Freshman): Brad was a redshirt his first year at NMSU.
High School: Brad attended The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas, earning the Most Improved Male Athlete and the Most Valuable Player for Track awards in 2001. He was also named Most Improved Athlete in 2000 and was picked to play in the Texas Private School All-Star game.
Personal: Brad was born in Indianapolis, Ind. and is the son of Steve and Kay Evans. He is majoring in Kinesiology.
