2006 (Junior): Allen played in all 12 games for the Aggies in 2006. He caught 26 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 9.2 yards a catch and 20 yards receiving a game. Allen has caught at least one pass in 31 consecutive games, dating back to October 2, 2004 against UTEP. After the 2006 season his streak ranks eighth in the nation. Allen’s best game of the season came against #15 Boise State (10/15) on ESPN2, where he caught five passes for 51 yards. Over the next four games, Allen tallied 14 receptions, including four catches against both Nevada (10/28) and San Jose State (11/4). In the Aggies’ season finale against Louisiana Tech (12/2) Allen caught three passes for 35 yards. He caught his first career touchdown reception against New Mexico (9/9) on a 15-yard pass from quarterback Chase Holbrook.
2005 (Sophomore): Allen saw action in all 12 games for the Aggies in 2005 at the wide receiver position, recording at least one catch in every game. On the season, Allen was third on the team in receptions with 33 for 362 yards and an average of 11.0 yards per catch. He also returned two kick-offs for 33 yards. Against Hawai’i (11/15), Allen caught a career-high six passes for 38 yards. Versus Idaho (10/29), Allen caught five passes for a career-high 68 yards. Allen caught a career-long pass of 32 yards against New Mexico (9/17), finishing the game with two receptions for 64 yards. His lone touchdown pass of the season came against Utah State (11/26) on a 3-yard pass from Royal Gill.
2004 (Freshman): Allen was fourth on the team in reception yards in 2004, catching 26 passes for 300 yards on the season, averaging 11.5 yards per catch. Allen caught at least one ball in nine of the Aggies’ 11 games, recording seven games with three catches or more and two games with four grabs. Allen also caught at least one pass in the Aggies last seven games. Against Florida International (10/30), Allen had his best game of the season, catching four balls for 70 yards and a touchdown, including a season-long 44 yard reception. The following week against Middle Tennessee (11/6), Allen again had four receptions, for 54 yards. Against #12 California (9/11), Allen caught two receptions for 22 yards. He then hauled in three catches for 35 yards against Troy University (9/17) and grabbed three passes for 51 yards against UL Lafayette (10/9).
2003 (Freshman): Allen was a redshirt his first year at New Mexico State.
High School: Allen was a two-year starter for Coach Dan Hines and was a two-way starter for the Thunder, leading the team with 38 solo tackles and compiling 65 total stops from his cornerback spot. He also had two interceptions and broke up six passes. As a wide receiver, Allen caught 25 passes for 500 yards and nine touchdowns. He helped lead the Thunder to a 9-3 mark and a spot in the Class 5A quarterfinals in 2001 and a 9-2 mark and a first round playoff appearance in 2002. Allen was a first team all-region and second team all-state pick in 2002.
Personal: Brandon was born in Chandler, Ariz. and is the son of John and Cindy Allen. He is majoring in Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism Management.
