Biography

 

2006: Leeds was a red-shirt throughout the season.

 

2005 (Glendale CC): Leeds is a transfer from Glendale Community College where he helped the Gauchos finish the 2005 season 11-0 with a 50-48 win over Grand Rapids Community College (Mich.) in the Valley of the Sun Bowl to win the NJCAA national championship. Leeds was also one of four Gauchos to earn NJCAA All-American honors. He also helped the Gauchos lead the Western State Football League in rushing with a team total of 2,449 yards, while also blocking for the league’s leading rusher.

 

High School: Leeds was a two-year letterman in football and started every game during those two years. In his senior year, the team held a record of 12-2 and was state runner-up.  Leeds was also a two-year letterman in basketball where he started every game in which he played.  While participating in basketball, Leeds made first team All-Region and second team All-State.  He averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds a game.  Leeds also set the Cactus High School record for consecutive double-doubles with three.  He also set the record for most double-doubles in a season with 11 and tied the record for most rebounds in a game with 20.

 

Personal:  Brett was born in Glendale, Ariz. to Thomas and Debra Leeds.  He is undecided on a major.
