2006 (Junior): West competed and led the Aggies in every race last season. At the WAC Championships, West placed 12^th and clocked a performance of 26:04, this is the second best finish of any cross country athlete during NMSU’s two-year participation in the WAC. He posted a season best time of 24:05, at the Kachina Classic (9/23/06), placing him ninth. He also posted an impressive seventh place finish at the UTEP Invitational (9/25/06), crossing the finish line at 26:17.

2005 (Sophomore): West was a competitor in five events last year for the Aggies. West finished 11^th in the UTEP Invite with a time of 25:52, this was his best finish. West also competed at the Sun Belt Championship and placed 45^th with a time of 28:55.

2004 (Freshman): West was a competitor in five events his freshman season for the Aggies. West finished 11th in the UTEP Invite with a time of 25:52, this was his best finish. West also competed at the Sun Belt Championship and finished 45th with a time of 28:55.

High School: West was a graduate from Alamogordo High School in Alamogordo N.M. He was a four year letter-winner while receiving all-district in cross country. He was district champion his senior year. He received all-state honor his senior year and placed 3^rd at the state championship. In track he was all district his junior and senior year and was district champion in the 3,200 his senior year.

Personal: West is the son of Greg and Kathy Ivey and is majoring in Education.
