Biography

2006 (Junior):Floyd played in 12 games and started five at linebacker during the 2006 season.  He tallied 66 tackles, 21 solo and 45 assisted and recorded six tackles-for-a-loss of nine yards.  During his first career start against Nevada (10/28) he recorded his first career interception.  Against San Jose he posted 16 total tackles, two solo and fourteen assisted, he also was two tackles-for-a-loss of five yards.  He tallied 12 tackles against Fresno State (11/11) and Utah State (11/25), respectively.

 

Laney College: Floyd helped Laney Junior College win the Golden Gate Conference championship and knocked off previously undefeated American River College in the Capitol Shrine Bowl to finish with an overall record of 9-2 in 2005. He was named to the Region II All-California team as voted on by the California Community College Football Coaches Association and also named All-Golden Gate Conference. Floyd had a team-high 72 tackles (32 unassisted) and nine sacks for the Eagles in 2005.

High School: Floyd helped his team is a 10-1 record in 2001, while earning all-Conference honors.

Personal: Dante is the son of Frankie Edwards. He is undecided in his major.
