2006: David should see significant playing time at the running back position in 2006.
2005 (Junior): Romaka played fullback in nine games for the Aggies. He carried the ball eight times for 23 yards averaging 2.6 yards a carry. Romaka also caught three passes for 13 yards. His most productive outing was against the University of Hawai’i (10/15) when he gained six yards on the ground and three yards in the air for his third touchdown.
2004 (Sophomore): Romaka played in 11 games for NMSU and was an offensive threat running or catching the ball at the fullback position. Romaka was seventh on the team in receiving in 2004, catching 10 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, Romaka carried the ball 15 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. Romaka caught a season-high four passes for 73 yards against Florida International (10/30). He caught his first career touchdown pass versus North Texas (10/23) and his second against Middle Tennessee (11/6). Romaka’s best game on the ground came against Florida Atlantic, rushing for 20 yards on three carries. His final touchdown of the season, came against Utah State (11/20) on a two-yard rush. He also returned one kick for 16 yards against Arkansas (9/4). Romaka was also on special teams, recording five tackles on the season. On the year, Romaka collected 203 yards of total offense.
2003 (Freshman): Romaka earned his first letter as a special teams player, seeing action in all 12 games.
High School: David was a first team All-District and second team All-City pick his senior year at Andress High School. He gained 856 yards on 101 carries as a fullback his senior season and caught 19 passes for 353 yards.
Personal: David was born in El Paso, Texas, and is the son of David, Susan and Tracy Romaka. He is majoring in Kinesiology.
