2012 (Junior): Cazares started 10 games for the Aggies at free safety and played in all 12 games.  He led the WAC with 9.7 tackles per game and was ranked 27th nationally.  For his efforts on the season, Cazares was selected to the All-WAC second team.  He recorded 116 total tackles, three tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, one pass break-up and one blocked kick on the season.  Cazares led the team with 19 tackles against New Mexico (Sept. 22), which was also a career high.  He recorded a forced fumble against the Lobos as well.  Cazares also led the team in tackles against Utah State (Oct. 20) and Louisiana Tech (Oct. 27).  Cazares also blocked a kick in the game against Utah State.
2011 (Sophomore): Cazares played in 13 games for the Aggies on special teams and at safety. He tallied 12 tackles on the season. Cazares recorded a season-high three tackles against Fresno State (Nov. 12) and two tackles versus Ohio (Sept. 3), New Mexico (Oct. 1) and Nevada (Oct. 29).
2010 (Freshman): Cazares played in nine games for the Aggies on special teams. He tallied eight tackles on the season, including a career-high two tackles at Idaho (Oct. 23). Cazares recorded at least one tackle in seven of the nine games he played.
High School: Cazares played strong safety for Bishop Amat High School. He helped his team to a 17-6 record during his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Cazares and the Lancers went 10-2 overall, collecting a Serra League Championship. He earned first team all-league, first team all-CIF, first team San Gabriel Valley and Defensive MVP of the Serra League. Cazares also played in the San Gabriel Valley East versus West game. He tallied 70 solo tackles, 35 assisted tackles, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two interceptions, two blocked field goals and one touchdown score.
Personal: Cazares is the son of Mark and Michelle Cazares. He plans to major in business management.
