Biography

2012 (Junior): Wallace started in all 12 games for NM State in 2012 at the left tackle position. He has started in 36 straight games for the Aggies on the offensive line. In 2012, Wallace earned second team All-WAC honors for the second straight season. He became the first offensive lineman since the 2003 and 2004 season to earn back-to-back all-conference awards. He was a vital part of the Aggies pass protection that allowed wide receiver Austin Franklin to earn all-America honors. Richards also helped quarterback Andrew Manley throw for 2,764 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2012, as he ranked 47th in the nation in passing. The 2,764 passing yards by Manley is sixth all-time in a single season, while the 18 touchdown passes rank tied for seventh in a single season.
2011 (Sophomore): Wallace played in all 13 games for the Aggies in 2011 at the left tackle position. He recorded 52 knockdowns on the season, including a season-high seven against Hawai’i (Oct. 22). Wallace was named a second team All-WAC selection, becoming the first offensive lineman since 2008 to garner an all-conference award. Wallace helped the Aggies rush for 1,625 yards and 16 touchdowns, while the NM State passing game threw for 3,550 yards and 24 touchdowns. He blocked for Matt Christian who led the team with 2,158 yards passing and 15 touchdowns, while blocking for the team’s leading rusher in Kenny Turner, who recorded 1,074 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. The NM State offense ranked No. 27 in the nation in passing offense and No. 47 in total offense. He allowed five sacks on the season and committed just five penalties.
2010 (Freshman): Wallace played tackle as a true freshman for the Aggies in 2010, starting 11 of the 12 games. Wallace helped the Aggies rush for 1,526 yards and eight touchdowns, while the NM State passing game threw for 2,009 yards and nine touchdowns. He blocked for Matt Christian who led the team with 1,372 yards passing and eight touchdowns, while blocking for the team’s leading rusher in Kenny Turner, who recorded 461 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Wallace helped block for running back Robert Clay as he recorded the Aggies’ only 100-yard rushing game of the season versus La. Tech. On the season, Wallace collected 27 knockdowns, recording five knockdowns against New Mexico (Oct. 9), Idaho (Oct. 23) and Nevada (Nov. 20). Wallace also allowed just two sacks on the season and committed just two penalties.
High School: Wallace played both offensive guard and defensive line for the Irvin High School Rockets. As a senior, Wallace helped the Rockets to a 6-7 overall record, as the Irvin offense averaged 149.1 yards passing per game, 126.9 yards rushing per game and 276 yards of total offense that season. On defense, Wallace tallied 22 tackles, averaging 3.1 tackles per game. He was named an all-city selection and all-district pick as an offensive lineman. Wallace was also named an all-city preseason team selection. As a junior, the Rockets’ offense averaged 126.3 yards passing and 129.8 yards rushing in 2008. He also recorded 10 tackles and a blocked field goal.
Personal: Wallace is the son of Allen and Angela Page. He plans to major in sociology.
