2006 (Junior): Dubois competed in all 12 games at the wide receiver position in 2006 season. On the season, he caught a total of 53 passes, the third highest on the team and was second on the team in yards with 800. He average 15.1 yards per reception and 66.7 yards receiving per game. His seven receiving touchdowns on the season was second most on the team. Against No. 15 Boise State (10/15) on ESPN, he caught seven passes for 197 yards and scored a single touchdown. During the final game of the season versus Louisiana Tech (12/2) he scored a season-high two touchdowns while catching six passes for 98-yards.
2005 (Sophomore): Dubois was a huge part of the Aggies offense in 2005, as a receiver, a running back and kick returner. Dubois caught 28 passes for 373 yards and four touchdowns, fifth on the team while averaging 13.3 yards per catch, second highest on the team. He also recorded seven carries for 36 yards. Dubois was the Aggies’ leading kick-off returner with 14 returns for 338 yards. Against Louisiana Tech (10/1) Dubois caught a season-high five passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. He also caught the Aggies’ first touchdown of the season against UTEP (9/3) on a 36-yard pass from Royal Gill. His most productive game of the season came against Idaho (10/9) when he caught four passes for 69 yards and a touchdown, while racking up 102 kick return yards on two returns. On the season he tallied five games with four catches or more.
2004 (Freshman): Derek was a redshirt his first season at NMSU.
High School: Derek DuBois lettered in football three years at Colonia High School, where he was named first team All-Area and played in the Snapple Bowl. On the hardwood, DuBois earned three letters in basketball, being named first team all-county and second team all-state. He led his team to the Greater Middlesex Conference title and participated in the GMC all-star game.
Personal: Dubois was born in Belleville, N.J., and is the son of Dennis and Laurie DuBois. He is majoring in Criminal Justice.
