Biography

2004: Jacobs enters his second season with the Aggies and for the second consecutive season, he will be the Aggies’ starter at strong safety.

2003 (Junior): Jacobs had a solid season as NMSU’s starting strong safety after transferring from Scottsdale Community College. He started all 12 games and led the Aggies in interceptions with three. All three of his interceptions came in Aggie territory, thwarting possible scoring drives. Jacobs finished the season strong, registering 23 tackles over the final three games. His first interception came against UL-Lafayette (10/16). He returned that interception 35 yards, thwarting a Ragin’ Cajun drive at the NMSU 31-yard line. His second interception came against Arkansas State (11/1), stopping an Indian drive at the Aggie five-yard line. His final interception came against Utah State (11/6), stopping a USU drive at the NMSU 47-yard line. Jacobs had his best game of the year against the Arkansas Razorbacks (11/15). He recorded a career-high nine tackles, including one for a loss.

2001-02 (Junior College): Dominique was a second team All-ACCAC Region-1 pick at Scottsdale Community College as a sophomore. He was a two-year starter at Scottsdale Community College and had seven interceptions in his two seasons, four as a sophomore.

High School: He was an all-Desert Valley Region pick as a senior at St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix. Personal: Dominique was born in Phoenix, Ariz. and is the son Rick and Lois Jacobs. Jacobs is majoring in Sociology.
