2006: Carrie should be the Aggies strong safety in 2006.
2005 (Junior): Carrie played in all 12 games for NMSU at the safety position, starting nine games. He tallied 80 tackles on the season, third on the team. Carrie also recorded three tackles-for-a-loss, one interception and seven pass break-ups. He tallied three straight games with double figure tackles, including a career-high 14 tackles against Cal (9/23). Against New Mexico (9/17), Carrie racked up 11 tackles, eight solo, as well as two tackles-for-a-loss, including his lone interception of the season. Versus Colorado (9/10), Carrie had 11 tackles, one pass break-up and a tackle-for-a-loss. He also recorded 10 games with at least four tackles.
2004 (Sophomore): Carrie played in 10 games for the Aggies last year. He collected 21 tackles on the season, nine solo and 12 assisted. Carrie also had an interception against Florida International (10/30), and recorded two pass break-ups, one against Troy University (9/17) and one versus Florida Atlantic (11/13). Carrie also had a sack for a loss of 10 yards against Florida Atlantic (11/13). On the season, Carrie recorded two tackles for a loss of 12 yards.
2003 (Redshirt Freshman): Carrie played in all 12 games as a redshirt freshman and finished with 21 total tackles and two interceptions. He had at least one tackle in 11 of the 12 games. Eric had 12 of his 21 tackles in the final five games. He had three tackles against UL Monroe (10/15), Arkansas State (11/1) and Utah State (11/6). He had two tackles against Arkansas State including a 12-yard tackle for loss. He had an interception against Oregon State (9/13) and UL Lafayette (10/16). Eric also blocked a field goal against Idaho (10/4) and had a tackle for loss against Oregon State.
2002 (Freshman): Eric was redshirted in 2002.
High School: Carrie attended Miramonte High School in Richmond, California.
Personal: Eric was born in Oakland, Calif., and is the son of Reynard and Gloria Carrie. He is majoring in Family Consumer Science.
