2010 (Junior): Niumatalolo saw action in 12 games for the Aggies in 2010. On the season, he recorded 19 tackles, three tackles for a loss, a fumble recovery and quarterback hurry. Against UTEP (Sept. 18), Niumatalolo recorded a season-high four tackles. The following games versus Kansas (Sept. 25), he tallied three tackles. Versus Fresno State (Oct. 16), Niumatalolo recorded his second four tackle game of the year, including 1.5 tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery. He put together another three tackle game against Utah State (Nov. 6).
2009 (Red Shirt Junior): Niumatalolo a two year letterman is a defensive lineman and he redshirted in 2009 for the Aggies.
2007 to 2008: Niumatalolo was not with the team due to a LDS mission in Ghana Africa.
2006: (Sophomore): Niumatalolo played in all 12 games in 2006, tallying 38 total tackles, ranking ninth on the team. He also grabbed three tackles-for-a-loss and a sack. Niumatalolo had a career-high six tackles against Hawai'i (10/21). He recorded five tackles versus Fresno State (11/11) and four tackles against Idaho (10/7) and San Jose State (11/4). Niumatalolo also blocked a kick against SJSU. His lone sack of the season came against Texas Southern (9/16).
2005 (Freshman): Niumatalolo played in all 12 games for the Aggies while starting in two of those games. He started on the defensive line against Fresno State (10/8) and Hawai'i (10/15). On the season Niumatalolo tallied a total of 26 tackles. Eight of those tackles were unassisted while 18 of them were assisted. One of his tackles was for a loss of three yards, which came against the University of Colorado (9/10). Niumatalolo's best game came against Fresno State when he made five tackles on the afternoon. He also made three tackles in four consecutive games.
High School: David was an honorable mention O'ahu Interscholastic Association East All-Star pick his senior season, leading the Red Raiders to a 9-2 record and the state semifinals. He was the team's starting defensive tackle and also played defensive end. He was a two-year starter and played on KaHuku's 2003 state championship team that went 14-0 as a junior.
