Biography

2012 (Junior): Capraro was the Aggies’ holder for field goals and PAT attempts and was used as a punter during the 2012 season.  Capraro had four punts on the season for 157 yards including three punts down inside the 20-yard line.  Capraro punted two times against Louisiana Tech (Oct. 27) for 81 yards.  He also punted twice against Texas State (Dec. 1) for 76 yards.  As the holder, Capraro caught snaps for all 30 PAT attempts for the season as well as six field goal attempts. Capraro was named Academic All-WAC for fall 2012.
2011 (Sophomore): Capraro was the Aggies’ starting punter in 2011. He tallied 74 punts on the season for 2,909 yards with an average of 39.3 yards a punt. Capraro had 18 punts downed inside the 20-yard line, six punts over 50 yards and 20 punts fair caught, while kicking just two in the end zone for touchbacks. Capraro kicked a career-long 53 yard punt against Idaho (Oct. 15), booting a season-high nine in that game and three over 50 yards. Against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 26), Capraro had seven punts, placing seven inside the 20-yard line and kicking one for 51 yards.
2010 (Freshman): Capraro played in nine games for the Aggies in 2010, taking over the punting duties fulltime against No. 3 Boise State (Oct. 1). On the season, Capraro tallied 63 punts for 2,323 yards, averaging 36.9 yards a punt. He also recorded two punts over 50 yards, including a season-long of 52 yards against No. 3 Boise State and San Jose State (Oct. 30). Also against the Spartans, Capraro recorded his best punt average of the season, recording 40.8 yards per punt in that game. Capraro also tallied 18 punts inside the 20-yardline. Three times on the season, Capraro kicked nine punts and recorded at least six punts in eight of the nine games he played in.
High School: Capraro attended Damien High School in La Verne, Calif.  During his senior year, Capraro and the DHS Spartans finished with a 5-6 record and a league championship.  Capraro was named as third team all-state, first team All-San Gabriel Valley and first team all-league.  Capraro was ranked No. 25 by Chris Sailer. He took third place in the snap, hold and kick annual competition in the college division as a senior.
Personal: Capraro is the son of Paul and Camma Capraro.  He intends to major in criminal justice. Capraro’s cousin Bryce Chamberlain kicks for Azusa Pacific University.
