Biography

 

2006 (Junior): James started all 12 games for the Aggies in 2006. He played center for the first seven games of the season before moving to tackle for the Aggies’ last five contests. He helped the Aggies finish third in the nation in total offense, second in passing offense and 15th in scoring offense. He helped the Aggies record five 100-yard rushing games as a team. James assisted in the protection of quarterback Chase Holbrook, who broke 21 school records in 2006. As a team, the Aggies also broke three total offensive records, six passing records and tied the school’s scoring record. He helped the Aggies recorded three games with over 500 yards passing, five games with over 400 yards passing and 11 games with over 300 yards passing.

 

2005 (Snow College): Farrelly is a mid-year transfer from Snow College in Ephrain, Utah. While at Snow College, Farrelly helped the Badgers to a 19-3 record during the 2003 & 2005 seasons. In 2003, Farrelly and the Badgers won the Western State Football League title with a 9-1 record, winning the Golden Isles Bowl in the postseason. In 2004, Farrelly received a medical red shirt. Farrelly came back stronger than ever in 2005, helping the Badgers to a 10-2 overall record and a win in the Zions Bank Top of the Mountain Bowl, defeating No. 6 Butler 17-14. Also in 2005, Farrelly was named a preseason All-American and earned WSFL All-Conference honors for his play at offensive tackle.

 

High School: Farrelly played both offensive tackle and defensive tackle for Boulder City H.S. in Boulder City, Nev. During his senior season in 2002, Farrelly helped the Eagles to a Division Championship and a 6-4 overall record. He earned first team All-Conference at both offensive and defensive tackle positions, while being named a first team all-State pick at offensive tackle and a second team All-State selection at defensive tackle. Farrelly was also be named Southern Nevada’s 3A Lineman of the Year. Farrelly was also an accomplished wrestler, winning the state championship at 275 pounds and posting a 40-0 record during the season. He would cap off his high school career with a state championship in the discus. Farrelly was also being recruited by Illinois, Hawai’i, UNLV and New Mexico.

 

Personal:  James is the son of Tom Farrelly and Carol Farrelly and was born on May 5, 1985 in Las Vegas, N.V.  He is majoring in History.
