Biography

2006: Kaufman will see action at the wide receiver position and will be the teams’ punter as well.

 

2005 (Sophomore):  Kaufman played in seven games during the 2005 season recording eight catches for 62 yards.  He caught two passes for 19 yards against UTEP, while pulling in an additional three for 21 yards against Fresno State. In the Aggies’ season opener against UTEP (9/3), Kaufman caught two passes for 19 yards. His season-long reception came against New Mexico (9/17) as he caught one pass for 19 yards.

 

2004 (Redshirt Freshman): After redshirting his freshman year in 2003, Kaufman saw limited action in 2004.

 

High School: Kaufman earned three letters in football and two in basketball at Dakota Ridge HS. He played wide receiver, earning second team All-Conference while leading the Eagles to the second round of the playoffs in 2003. Kaufman set a single-game school record with 13 receptions for 233 yards and three touchdowns, while accumulating 44 catches for 488 yards his senior season.

 

Personal: Kaufman was born in Champaign, Ill., and is the son of Wayne and Jaye Kaufman. He is majoring in Business Management.
