2006: Naylor was a red-shirt throughout the season.
2005 (Junior): Naylor tallied 18 tackles on the season, collecting career-high four tackles against Colorado. He also recorded three tackles-for-a-loss and one sack for a loss of four yards. Against New Mexico (9/17) and San Jose State (11/19), Naylor collected three tackles. He racked up at least one tackle in nine of the 10 games he played in 2005.
2004 (Sophomore): Naylor was solid on the defensive line for the Aggies in 2004, starting all 11 games, four at nose tackle and seven at defensive tackle. Naylor compiled a total 32 tackles, nine solo and 23 assists, in the season. He had three tackles for loss, for a total of six yards lost. Against Troy University (9/17) Naylor racked up a season-high six tackles, one for a loss of two yards. He reached his season-high, two solo tackles twice, at California (9/11) and at Florida Atlantic (11/13).
2003: Naylor started eight of the nine games he played in as a true freshman. He started his first collegiate game out of high school against nationally ranked Texas (8/31), but was injured in the first quarter and missed the next two games. He returned to action against Idaho and started the final seven games. He finished the season with 13 total tackles, 10 of them solo. He had a career high five tackles, all of them solo against Middle Tennessee (10/11). The following week against UL Lafayette (10/16) he had one solo tackle and broke up a pair of passes at the line of scrimmage. He finished the season with two tackles against Arkansas State (11/1), Arkansas (11/15), and North Texas (11/25).
High School: Jared helped Union High School to a 14-0 record and the Oklahoma Class 6A-state title in 2002. He was an All-State pick by the Daily Oklahoman, the Tulsa World and the Oklahoma Football Coaches Association. He was the co-defensive player of the year in the conference and played in the Oil Bowl, pitting the best players from Oklahoma against the best players from Texas. He had 121 tackles, six sacks and four fumble recoveries his senior year.
Personal: Jared was born in Tulsa, Okla., and is the son of Art and Michelle Naylor. He is majoring in Communication.
