2013 Indoor (Junior): Due to her performance at the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 21), Perkins was named Co-High Point Champion, earning a total of 18.5 points for NM State. Perkins lit up the NM State record books during her junior season, setting school records in the 60m, 200m and the 4x400m relay. Perkins set her career-best time of 7.54 in the 60m at the WAC Indoor Championships when she placed third overall, earning first team All-WAC honors. This time is now the top record in the NM State record books. In the 200m, Perkins recorded a time of 23.68 at the WAC Indoor Championships to place first overall for the title. This time is also a top school record. Perkins also ran with the 4x400m relay squad that placed first overall at the WAC Indoor Championships with a time of 3:38.38. Not only did Perkins set a new overall school record with this team, she also earned first team All-WAC honors and set the top time of the season for the conference.
2012 Outdoor (Sophomore): Perkins was the only Aggie who received the honor of being named to the USTFCCCA 2012 Division I Track and Field All-Academic team. Perkins was also honored as a WAC All-Academic athlete in 2012 as well. Perkins spent most of the season running the 100m and 200m and the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Perkins posted her career-best time in the 100m at the UTEP Invitational (April 14) with a time of 11.79, which places her fourth all-time for NM State. Perkins' career-best time in the 200m came at the WAC Championships (200m) when she ran a time of 24.01, placing her third all-time in the NM State record books. Perkins later went on to place third overall in the event at the WAC Championships, earning her first team All-WAC honors. Perkins ran with two different squads in the 4x100m relay, which set two different school records. Perkins helped record a time of 46.14 at the UTEP Springtime Invitational (March 24), placing the group sixth all-time for NM State.
2012 Indoor (Sophomore): Perkins was named to the first team all-WAC in the 200m. Perkins was named to the academic all-WAC team in 2012. Perkins ran sprints and relays for the Aggies in the 2012 indoor season. Perkin’s top performance came at the WAC Indoor Championships (Feb. 23) when she broke the all-time school record for the 200m when she posted a time of 24.30. Perkins opened up the season at the Texas Tech Open (Jan. 13) by posting a time of 7.45 in the 55m, which is tied for 10th all-time for NM State. Perkins posted her best finish in the 60m at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 10) with a time of 7.78. Perkins competed with the 4x400m relay team that posted a time of 3:50.43 at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational (Jan. 27), which placed fifth all-time in the NM State record books.
2011 Outdoor (Freshman): Perkins posted some of her season-best times on April 30 at the Bobcat Invitational. Perkins ran the 200m in a 24.08 and the 4x100m relay in 45:91. Perkins also ran the 100m, posting her season-best time of 11.89 at the Texas Tech Open.
2011 Indoor (Freshman): Perkins ran various sprint events for NM State during her freshman season. Perkins posted her best time of 7.74 in the 60m at the Western Athletic Conference Championships. Perkins also ran the 200m, posting her best time of 24.99 at the UNM Don Kirby Invitational. Perkins ran in the 4x400m relay, posting her best time of 4:18.72 at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational.
High School: Perkins attended Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas. Perkins competed in the 100m, 200m, and 400m and was a member of three state champion track and field squads from 2008-10. Perkins was also a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Perkins is the daughter of Olese Perkins. She was born in Dallas, Texas and is undecided on a major.
