Biography

2006: Weeks returns as the Aggies top defensive lineman from 2005 and should be the Aggies starting nose guard in 2006.

 

2005 (Junior): Weeks made the jump from offense to defense in 2005, playing in nine games, starting the last seven games at nose guard. Weeks recorded 19 tackles on the season, with two tackles-for-a-loss and a pass break-up. Against Nevada (11/12) Weeks recorded a career-high five tackles and his second tackle-for-a-loss. Over the final five games of the year, Weeks tallied 13 tackles.

 

2004 (Sophomore): Weeks started all 11 games at tight end last season for the Aggies. On the season, Weeks caught eight balls for an average of 7.5 per catch. He had a five-yard catch against Arkansas (9/4), a six-yarder against UTEP (10/2), a nine-yard catch and one touchdown against North Texas (10/23). Weeks’ best game of the season came against Middle Tennessee (11/6), when he caught two balls for 29 yards including a career-high 17 yards.

 

2003 (Redshirt Freshman):  Weeks did not play in 2003.

 

2002 (Freshman):  Weeks was a redshirt his first year at NMSU.

 

High School:  Weeks helped the Coyotes to at least a share of the district 5-4A title three times.  He was a starter at defensive tackle and tight end.  Despite an injury plagued senior season, he had 46 total tackles including 22 solo.  He had 11 tackles for losses for 41 yards, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one interception, broke up two passes and had four sacks for losses for 29 yards.  On offense he had 10 catches for 100 yards.  As a junior he had 85 tackles including 20 for loss and was a first team Class 4A All-State pick.  He played on a defense that allowed an average of only 191 yards and 9.0 points per game.  The Coyotes were ranked #1 in the state for most of his junior season before losing in the Class 4A Division II semifinals.  He was a two-time, first team all-district 5-4A pick and helped Wichita Falls to a combined record of 20-6 as a junior and senior, including 14-1 in 2000.

Personal:  Weeks was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, and is the son of Kim and David Weeks.  He is majoring in Kinesiology.
