Biography

2012 (Junior): Richards started in all 12 games for NM State at right tackles in 2012. He recorded 35 knockdowns on the season. He was a vital part of the Aggies pass protection that allowed wide receiver Austin Franklin to earn All-America honors. Richards also helped quarterback Andrew Manley throw for 2,764 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2012, as he ranked 47th in the nation in passing. The 2,764 passing yards by Manley is sixth all-time in a single season, while the 18 touchdown passes rank tied for seventh in a single season. Richards was named an Academic All-WAC selection for his efforts in the classroom.
Diablo Valley College: Richards played two seasons at Diablo Valley College on the offensive line. Richards helped his team to an 8-3 record in 2011, while earning All-Golden Gate first team honors. Richards was part of an offense that tallied 458.3 yards of total offense per game, averaging 203.1 yards rushing and 255.2 yards passing. As a junior, Richards helped Diablo Valley average 455.4 yards per game of total offense.
High School: Richards played four years at Pittsburgh High School on the offensive line.
Personal: Richards is the son of Pewu Richards and Annie Zanie. He plans to major in criminal justice.
