2011 (Junior): Heimuli saw action in all 13 games in 2011, playing in five games on the offensive line, while participating on the field goal team. He recorded 13 knockdowns on the season, allowing three sacks. Heimuli helped the Aggies rush for 1,625 yards and 16 touchdowns, while the NM State passing game threw for 3,550 yards and 24 touchdowns. He blocked for Matt Christian who led the team with 2,158 yards passing and 15 touchdowns, while blocking for the team's leading rusher in Kenny Turner, who recorded 1,074 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. The NM State offense ranked No. 27 in the nation in passing offense and No. 47 in total offense.
2010 (Sophomore): Heimuli played in seven games for the Aggies in 2010 at guard, starting the last six games for the season. He tallied 44 knockdowns on the season, including a season-high 10 against Nevada (Nov. 20). Heimuli also recorded nine knockdowns versus Hawai'i (Nov. 27). He graded out at 65 % on the season, giving up just one sack and committing just one penalty. Heimuli helped the Aggies rush for 1,526 yards and eight touchdowns, while the NM State passing game threw for 2,009 yards and nine touchdowns. He blocked for Matt Christian who led the team with 1,372 yards passing and eight touchdowns, while blocking for the team's leading rusher in Kenny Turner, who recorded 461 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Heimuli helped block for running back Robert Clay as he recorded the Aggies' only 100-yard rushing game of the season versus LA Tech.
2007-09: Heimuli was not with the team due to a mission.
2006 (Redshirt Freshman): Heimuli started 10 of 11 games for the Aggies on the offensive line. He helped the Aggie offense average 331.9 yards passing per game and 423.5 total offensive yards a game, as the Aggie offense finished fifth in the nation in total offense and 33rd in passing offense. He also helped Aggie quarterback Chase Holbrook finish ninth in the nation in total offense with 322.6 yards per game. Heimuli was also part of an offensive line that gave up just 24 sacks on the season, a 16 sack improvement from 2006 (40).
2005 (Freshman): Heimuli red shirted during his first season with the Aggies.
High School: Maveu was an honorable mention O'ahu Interscholastic Association East All-Star pick in 2004, leading the Red Raiders to a 9-2 record and the state semifinals. He was a two-year starter and played on Kahuku's 2003 state championship team that went 14-0.
Personal: Maveu was born in Kahuku, Hawaii and is the son of Feao and Loumaile Heimuli. His major is undecided.
