2006: Nathan will battle for playing time at the outside linebacker position in 2006.
2005 (Junior): Nuttall played in eight games for NMSU at the linebacker position, starting the final four games of the season. He recorded 35 tackles on the season, including four tackles-for-a-loss, one sack, a forced fumble and one pass break-up. Nuttall recorded a season-high nine tackles against San Jose State. In his first career start against Boise State (11/5) Nuttall tallied five tackles, including two tackles-for-a-loss of seven yards. He collected at least four tackles five times.
2004 (Sophomore): Nuttall was a back-up safety and special teams player for the Aggies in 2004, seeing action in all 11 games and recording 10 tackles. His best game came against Arkansas (9/4) when he had five tackles, three of those tackles being solo efforts. Nuttall also recorded a sack against Middle Tennessee (11/6) for a loss of seven yards.
2003 (Redshirt Freshman): Nathan missed the entire 2003 season due to injury.
2002 (Freshman): Nuttall was a redshirt his first season at NMSU.
High School: Nuttall was a first team All-State pick as a senior, leading Clovis High School to the New Mexico Class 5A title and a 13-0 record. It was Clovis’ 13th state title and 10th under Coach Eric Roanhaus. It was the team’s first undefeated season under Roanhaus. As a senior, Nuttall rushed for 1,643 yards and scored 27 touchdowns. He played in only two games at safety as a senior, but had 15 tackles. He started at both safety and running back as a junior and registered 87 tackles. His 40-yard touchdown run against Las Cruces Mayfield in the state championship contest was the game winner and was the only rushing touchdown allowed by Mayfield all season. He had 15 carries for 100 yards in the 17-10 triumph.
Personal: Nathan is the son of Neil and Susanne Nuttall and he is majoring in Pre-Consumer Health.
