2010 (Freshman): Chavis red shirted for the Aggies in 2010.

High School: Chavis attended Dudley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Chavis played tight end and won the state championship in football in 2007 & 2008. He had nine catches for 97 yards his senior year.

Personal: Chavis is the son of Oddy and Phyllis Chavis and is a freshman majoring in sports management.
