Biography

2007 (Junior): Richie started all 13 games for the Aggies at center in 2007. Bolin helped the Aggie offense average 331.9 yards passing per game and 423.5 total offensive yards a game, as the Aggie offense finished fifth in the nation in total offense and 33rd in passing offense. He also helped Aggie quarterback Chase Holbrook finish ninth in the nation in total offense with 322.6 yards per game. Bolin was also part of an offensive line that gave up just 24 sacks on the season, a 16 sack improvement from 2006 (40).

 

2006 (Sophomore): Richie played in five games for the Aggies in 2006, starting at center the last four games of the season. He helped the Aggies finish third in the nation in total offense, second in passing offense and 15th in scoring offense. He helped the Aggies record five 100-yard rushing games as a team. Richie assisted in the protection of quarterback Chase Holbrook, who broke 21 school records in 2006. As a team, the Aggies also broke three total offensive records, six passing records and tied the school’s scoring record. He helped the Aggies recorded three games with over 500 yards passing, five games with over 400 yards passing and 11 games with over 300 yards passing.

 

2005 (Freshman): Bolin played in 10 games for NMSU, racking up 12 tackles on the season, including one tackle-for-a-loss. Against New Mexico (9/17) and Boise State (11/5) Bolin collected a career-high two tackles. He did collect at least one tackle in nine games.

 

High School:  Bolin registered 14 quarterback sacks, 42 solo tackles and 26 total tackles for loss in 2004. He was a first team All-Area pick and the Southwest Yosemite League Defensive Player of the Year. He was a three-year starter on the offensive and defensive lines and a standout basketball player. He was a Bakersfield Jockey Club Award winner, the recipient of the Jerry Collins Memorial Scholarship Award, given to the top lineman, and received the NHS Star Award given to the student-athlete who portrays sportsmanship, scholarship, and competitiveness. He was a third team All-State, first team All-Southwest Yosemite League and first team All-Area pick as a junior. He was also a two-time honorable mention All-League pick as a basketball player.

 

Personal: Richie was born in Delano, Calif., and is the son of Barry Bolin and Liz Graham. His major is undecided.
