2004: Glover returns for his third year as a starter after two solid seasons. He has registered 167 tackles and four interceptions while starting 24 consecutive games.
2003 (Junior): Glover started all 12 games for the Aggies and finished second on the team in tackles with 72. He was also second on the team in interceptions (2) and fifth in tackles for loss (4). Glover had three double-digit tackle games last year. He had 22 in consecutive games, registering 10 against Arkansas State (11/15) and 12 against Utah State (11/6). He also had 11 against Idaho (10/4). Glover returned his two interceptions for 68 yards, the first for 44 yards against Oregon Sate (9/13) and the second for 24 yards against New Mexico. He also had a quarterback sack and another pass broken up against the Lobos. He finished the season strong by registering nine tackles against Sun Belt Champion North Texas (11/25). He also had nine tackles against UL Lafayette (10/16). He forced and recovered a fumble from Cedric Benson in the season opener against nationally ranked Texas.
2002 (Sophomore): Richard finished the season tied for first with two interceptions, second on the team in total tackles (95), solo tackles (47) and assisted tackles (48), recorded two tackles for a loss, forced one fumble and returned one interception for a touchdown. He registered double figures in tackles in four of the team’s final seven games. During that span he had 73 of his 95 tackles. Glover earned Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week against UTEP (10/5), recording a career-high 17 tackles and returned an interception 17 yards for his first career touchdown. He followed that up the following week by registering 15 tackles, forced a fumble and combined on a tackle for loss in the Aggies’ win over UL Lafayette (10/12). His first career interception turned around the Aggies’ game with in-state rival New Mexico (9/21). The Aggies trailed the Lobos 7-6 at the half and the Aggies had to punt after their first possession of the second half. But Glover intercepted a pass at the Lobo 47-yard line that led to a go-ahead touchdown in the Aggies’ 24-13 win. Richard finished the season strong by finishing in double figures in tackles in each of the final two games -- 13 against North Texas (11/16) in the Sun Belt Conference title game and 13 against Idaho (11/23). He led the Aggies with seven tackles against nationally ranked Georgia (9/28).
Junior College: Glover played the 2001 season at Bakersfield College and started on a defense that allowed only 193.8 yards per game.
2000 (Freshman): Glover was a redshirt at New Mexico State.
High School: Richard was an all-state and all-district pick at Onate High School in Las Cruces. He played in the North-South All-Star Game.
Personal: Richard is the son of Richard, Sr. and Sandra Woodley. His father is the Aggies’ defensive line coach. Richard is majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.
