Junior College: Harris attended West Los Angeles College in Culver City, Calif. Harris was an honorable mention and was named to the All-Academic team in 2009. Harris caught 23 receptions for 363 yards and five touchdowns in 2008 and caught 49 receptions for 323 yards and four touchdowns in 2009.

High School: Harris attended Los Angeles High School in Los Angeles, Calif. After a 1-9 record in 2006, Harris helped lead his team to a 6-3 record and a league championship the following season. Harris was named as an All-Conference wide receiver and defensive back in 2007. In 2007, Harris had 21 receptions for 656 yards and three touchdowns and a wide receiver, and had 69 tackles and three interceptions as a defensive back.

Personal: Harris is the son of the late Robin Harris Sr. and Exetta Harris. He plans to major in communications.
