2008 (Junior): Conner played in 12 games for the Aggies at linebacker and on special teams. On the season, Conner recorded 18 tackles and a sack. In his first career start as an Aggie at Nebraska (9/13), he recorded a season-high five tackles. Against San Jose State (10/18), Conner had three tackles. Versus Alcorn State (10/4), he tallied his first sack of his career for a loss of seven yards. In six of the 12 games he played, Conner recorded at least two tackles.
2007 (Sophomore): Conner saw action in 12 games in 2007 as a special team’s member and back-up linebacker. On the season, Conner tallied 18 tackles and one sack for a loss of seven yards. His best game came at Auburn (9/22) when he recorded four tackles. Against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (9/29), Conner grabbed two tackles and his first sack of the season. In all, Conner recorded six games with at least two tackles.
2006 (Redshirt Freshman): Conner played in 11 games as a linebacker and on special teams for the Aggies. He recorded 12 tackles, seven solo and five assisted. Conner tallied one tackle-for-a-loss of five yards and recorded his first career quarterback sack for a loss of five yards. Against Texas Southern (9/16) he tallied season-high four tackles. He also tallied two tackles against UTEP (9/30), No. 15 Boise State (10/15) and Utah State (11/25). On the special teams, he competed in the kickoff coverage and kickoff return.
2005 (Freshman): Conner red shirted during his first season with the Aggies.
High School: Conner was a three-year letterwinner at Mayfield High School in Las Cruces. As a linebacker, he helped Mayfield to an 18-3 record his junior and senior season. In 2003, he was a member of a Trojan program that went 10-1 and was the state runner-up. His senior season, Conner was named a first team all-state selection and played in the New Mexico North-South game.
Personal: Conner is the son of Tom and Judy Conner. He graduated in May 2009 with a degree in business and plans to attend dental school next year. Conner also was a member of the Dean’s List and earned a 4.0 GPA during the 2009 spring semester.
